Each year, Live Healthy Live Grand brings Michigan residents together to help them pursue their healthiest selves. The Blues’ partnership with Grand Hotel aligns for three days of relaxation you can also learn from. The weekend will feature delicious gourmet meals, along with a variety of health and wellness seminars and exercise classes.

Registration for 2014 is still open online, though space is limited. The weekend package includes:

    • Full breakfast and a healthy five-course dinner daily
    • Friday evening welcome reception featuring healthy drinks and hor d’oeuvers
    • Fitness activities
    • Health and wellness programming
    • Health screenings
    • Saturday evening reception
    • Free admission to the Richard and Jane Manoogian Art Museum

Some of the weekend’s activities include sunrise yoga, hikes around the island, healthy cookouts and a family scavenger hunt integrated with Blue Cross Blue Shield social media channels. Blue Cross wellness experts will also be on site  to provide health tips and answer questions.

As an added gift, the Blues will provide health planners to participants. The planners feature nutritious recipes from Grand Hotel Executive Chef Hans Burtscher, stress management suggestions, a daily food log and fun facts about the Grand Hotel and Mackinac Island.

Throughout the weekend, healthy menu items, exercise locations and areas of relaxation will be noted with the double wave Live Healthy Live Grand symbol. More information will be provided at the event.

Summer will end before you know it. Live Healthy Live Grand weekend is an opportunity get outside and enjoy Michigan, while investing in your mental and physical well being. We hope to see you there!

    1. This sounds like an amazing event! As a BC/BS Agent & participating member, my family of four & foster child would love to attend. Unfortunately, the expense is not in our budget! If you have any ideas I’d love to hear them! We are also looking to do a fundraiser, in the Fall, & wondering how we can ad BC/BS as an sponsor or otherwise share proceeds?
