A new mobile app with loads of convenient features and new software that helps consumers more easily navigate their Affordable Care Act options are among the many ways Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is making health care easier and more useful for consumers. In this video, BCBSM President and CEO Daniel J. Loepp outlines several of the ways we’re working to make health care more convenient for our members, from the ability to find a doctor or compare prices from your phone to accessing a doctor online, in real time, 24 hours a day. The new features add to the many capabilities already available on bcbsm.com. Open enrollment for Affordable Care Act plans on the Michigan Health Insurance Marketplace runs from Nov. 1 to Jan. 31, 2017.

Enrollment process for folks in BC BS Legacy Plan wanting to stay with BC but in a different plan is tortuous. It took 75 minutes to enroll in plan where no health evidence was needed. I was asked questions where the needed information was already in the BC file as I am currently insured. No coordination whatsoever between BC and AON. Very frustrating. Rep, who was recommended to me said he had never done this type of enrollment. Why wasn't he trained? Terrible experience.
