New Labor Contract Ratified by UAW at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network

DETROIT, December 6, 2023 - We are pleased to announce that a new 3 ½ year Master Labor Agreement between Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Blue Care Network and the United Auto Workers was ratified by UAW-represented employees during voting, which took place on Dec. 5 and 6.
The agreement covers approximately 1,360 Blue Cross and Blue Care Network employees represented by the UAW and runs from Sept. 1, 2023, through May 1, 2027.
The vote was overwhelming in favor of ratification.
UAW bargaining unit employees will return to work as soon as Dec. 7 unless otherwise instructed by their leader.
We have an agreement that provides competitive wages and benefits, while ensuring the company maintains reasonable administrative costs into the future.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is a nonprofit mutual company and independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
