PR News’ award recognizes BCBSM social achievement
Health insurance isn’t glamorous. Unlike those fun purchases where you bring home some shiny object, purchasing coverage is a thoughtful, rational, and important decision. Many of us fail to understand its importance until life brings us a moment where we don’t know what we’d do without it, but we are thankful we have it.
At Blue Cross, we’ve made it our mission to help Michigan residents live healthier, and share their passion for life with us. There are moments in people’s lives where our passions as a company closely align with their priorities. Our blog, www.ahealthiermichigan.org was born in this space.
A Healthier Michigan was created to connect with people throughout our state, providing resources to help Michiganders adopt a healthier lifestyle, support local communities, and build strong businesses throughout the state.
On Tuesday, A Healthier Michigan was recognized as the top blog during PR News’ Platinum PR Awards in New York City. This blog and its corresponding social channels post fresh content daily, providing expertise on everything from food and fitness to local health initiatives and cancer awareness. PR News applauded BCBSM’s data-driven approach, steered by best practices to optimize potential consumer engagement.
A Healthier Michigan was selected from a prestigious group of finalists:
- JetBlue – BlueTales Blog
- Microsoft & Waggener Edstrom Worldwide – Next at Microsoft Blog
- San Diego Gas & Electric – Postcards from Superstorm Sandy
- Weber Shandwick – Washington State Parks: Adventure Awaits
