The MHA will host its annual patient safety and quality symposium, Leading in the Age of Transformation, March 10 and 11 at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center. Theregistration deadline for the symposium is Feb. 27. Hotel reservations at the Detroit Marriott are now being confirmed based on availability and can be made by calling the hotel at (313) 568-8000. Symposium registration discounts are available to organizations that send teams of five or more and medical/nursing students, and virtual attendance is available.
The symposium will feature keynote and general sessions with Ian Morrison, PhD, internationally known health care author and futurist, and Susan Dentzer, senior policy advisor from Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Discussion will focus on the factors driving health care transformation, the shift from volume to value toward population health and the demand for greater transparency and cost-effective care. A panel with Morrison, Dentzer and other physician, governing board and consumer group leaders will theorize how hospitals and health systems are changing in reaction to the shifting healthcare reimbursement and delivery models. Continuing education credits are available for attendees.
The symposium is designed for business leaders, health care executives, clinical teams across the continuum of care, quality and safety professionals, and patient and family advocates. Questions should be directed to Janice Jones at the MHA.
