Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network customers in Grand Rapids and Portage now have new in-person customer service options.
A new walk-in customer service center opened July 1 in southeast Grand Rapids at 611 Cascade W. Parkway SE. The center is conveniently accessible from I-96. One-full time customer service representative is available to answer questions and service existing accounts from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. (The center is closed for lunch from noon to 1:10 p.m.) Statewide Walk-in Offices Team Leader Sarah Wood said the Grand Rapids Cascade location gives residents an alternative to the downtown walk-in center location. She said that it’s a great option for members who work or reside in areas farther away from downtown.
The Portage walk-in center location has moved. The new location at 950 Trade Centre Way, Suite 110, is conveniently located off I-94 and opened at noon Aug. 21. Three full-time customer service representatives will be available to help customers from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. “We’re constantly evaluating our customers’ needs. All of our walk-in centers provide a way for people to sit down face-to-face with our customer service representatives to get help in a comfortable setting,” Wood said. For the most up-to-date information about walk-in center hours and locations, search for “walk-in centers” on BCBSM.com. Health insurance can be complicated, but it doesn’t have to be confusing. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan has a number of statewide walk-in centers with on-site service specialists to answer your questions and put your mind at ease. Visit your local Walk-In Customer Service Center for on-the-spot help or the Customer Action Center for online member support.
