A child’s smile is priceless. Keeping them protected means happier, healthier children. Kids may miss less school and learn better in class when they have healthy teeth and mouths. Selected as one of two organizations by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Blue Cross will be doing its part to help Michigan’s children through the statewide Healthy Kids Dental Program. “Participating with the Healthy Kids Dental Program is the perfect opportunity to build on Blue Cross’ mission to improve the health of Michigan citizens and communities and increase access to affordable health care,” said Kevin Stutler, vice president, Enterprise Ancillary Business, and president and CEO of LifeSecure. Across the state, the Healthy Kids Dental Program covers children who have Medicaid and are under the age of 21. With access to one of the largest dental networks in Michigan, the Healthy Kids Dental Program helps nearly one million Medicaid-eligible children. Blue Cross is partnering with DentaQuest on the offering. The joint venture also leverages our partnerships with AmeriHeath Caritas and Blue Cross Complete. “We know how much this means to our members, so there is an incredible amount of positive energy and excitement about this new line of business,” said Jessica Sanders, product consultant and Medicaid liaison, Specialty Benefits Production and Vendor Management. “It really speaks to how much this partnership means to each of us and how it has a direct impact on the lives of Michigan’s children.” Interested in the Healthy Kids Dental Program?
