Remember when you bought your last cell phone? Did you take it out of the box, turn it on and immediately start fiddling with all the features? I know I did. When we buy something, we want to get the most out of it. We want to know what it does and how it works. How can we use it to make our life better or easier? Health insurance is no different. Whether you buy it yourself or get it through your employer, having health coverage is just the first step. The next step? Figuring out how to use it, and get the most out of it. To give you some advice on how to maximize your health insurance, the Healthier Michigan Radio Show went straight to the experts. The March airing of the Healthier Michigan Radio Show breaks down BCBSM's #Covered101 initiative and explains ways to better understand your health care coverage. Guests are all BCBSM affiliates talking about topics they know well, such as customer service innovations and the importance of forming a relationship with your primary care doctor. The full list of guests for the show includes:
  • Kathryn Levine, vice president for Corporate Marketing and Customer Experience at BCBSM
  • Dr. George Kipa, deputy chief medical officer for Health Care Value at BCBSM
  • Sarah Wood, team leader for Statewide Walk-In Offices at BCBSM
