The State of Michigan Helps Local Companies Flourish

| 1 min read

Everyone has a favorite neighborhood coffee shop, hair salon or auto mechanic—local businesses are one reason why it’s so great to live in Michigan. And there will hopefully be more and more of them: Michigan was recently named an especially friendly state for launching a small business in a nationwide survey of business owners. On top of that, 70 small businesses in Michigan were just awarded micro-grants to help their companies grow and flourish. Supporting small businesses is something Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan does every day. Many of the coverage options we offer are the perfect fit for smaller companies who want to help employees stay healthy. But don’t just take our word for it. Much like Sugar High, many other smaller Michigan businesses also offer employees Blue Cross coverage, like Pizza Sam’s of Midland, Grand Traverse Pie Company and J America of Fowlerville.
