Today, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan CEO Daniel J. Loepp issued the following statement in response to Judge Steven Rhodes’ approval of Detroit’s historic bankruptcy plan. “People 30 years from now will remember this day as one that shaped the Detroit they know. It’s up to us to make sure tomorrow’s citizens always remember the sacrifices that were made by people living and working here today. This day was made possible by people determined to make tough decisions, people willing to make hard sacrifices and people willing to work together to build a better tomorrow for Detroit.
