Blue Cross’ Value Partnerships Platform Mobilizes Health Care Providers in Face of Pandemic

In the face of a global pandemic, how do health care systems and providers stay on top of the latest and best information? Through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan’s existing Value Partnerships platform, physician organizations and provider practices across the state were uniquely positioned to share vital information with each other to address the COVID-19 pandemic in Michigan. As a result of infrastructure already in place, weekly virtual meetings were pulled together quickly as a way for providers across the state to share what they’re seeing and what’s working for their patients. Additionally, Blue Cross was able to rapidly work with Blue Cross designated patient-centered medical home practices to improve access to testing according to recommended guidelines.
