Paul Mozak named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan

DETROIT, August 18, 2021 – Paul Mozak has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. He will replace Blue Cross CFO Mark Bartlett who is retiring later this year after 32 years of service. Mozak has served since 2008 in executive roles within the Blue Cross finance team, most recently in his current role as Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer since 2017. “Paul’s depth of knowledge and leadership experience within our enterprise enables a smooth transition of senior financial management responsibilities and best positions the enterprise for continued success,” said Daniel J. Loepp, Blue Cross president and CEO. Mozak’s prior professional background includes executive leadership of organizations in the financial management, publishing and retail sectors. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Michigan State University, an MBA from the University of Michigan and is a CPA.
