Runners will take their mark for the 2nd annual Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Riverfront Run on Saturday, June 6, 2015. The 5K and 10K run and walk will showcase the Detroit RiverWalk and Milliken State Park, and provide a healthy, fun experience for participants. Proceeds benefit the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy, the stewards of Detroit’s historic and international RiverWalk and Dequindre Cut Greenway. Last year hundreds of runners took to the Detroit Riverfront for the race, including BCBSM’s social media manager David Murray who successfully completed his #HealthyMe goal to run his very first 5K. Watch the video below to get a look at David’s experience. Participants in the event will receive a performance T-shirt, a commemorative medal and a one-day admission pass to the Conservancy’s upcoming Detroit River Days festival happening June 19-21. Registration for the 5K run/walk is $30 per participant. The 10K is $40 per person. Click here to register for the 2015 BCBSM Riverfront Run!
