DETROIT, Oct. 28, 2019 — Michigan kids ages 10-18 are invited to enter the #MIKidsCan Turkey Day VIP Sweepstakes for a chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime Thanksgiving Day experience courtesy of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and the Detroit Lions. The sweepstakes, now in its fifth year, will present one lucky child the opportunity to ride in America’s Thanksgiving Parade® presented by Art Van, deliver the commemorative game ball to Ford Field and receive 10 tickets to the Detroit Lions 80th annual Thanksgiving Day game. The sweepstakes aims to highlight children’s health and asks families to share how they get active for 60 minutes on Thanksgiving Day at www.DetroitLions.com/TurkeyDayVIP between Oct. 28 and Nov. 17. “We’re thrilled to continue the #MIKidsCan Turkey Day VIP Sweepstakes to give one Michigan child the chance to celebrate their healthy habits alongside the Detroit Lions,” said Andrew Hetzel, vice president of Corporate Communications at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. “This partnership is one of many Blue Cross is grateful to be showcasing for our 80th anniversary. The Detroit Lions have been instrumental in our unique children health efforts over the years.” The winner of the #MIKidsCan Turkey Day VIP Sweepstakes will be randomly selected and announced Tuesday, Nov. 19. As part of their prize package, he or she will have the opportunity to enjoy:
  • A ride on Blue Cross’ parade float, “A Confident Life,” which demonstrates its commitment to a healthier Michigan, in America’s Thanksgiving Parade® presented by Art Van down Woodward Avenue
  • Special seating for 10 along the parade route
  • A custom jersey
  • Delivering the commemorative game ball to Ford Field before the Lions take on the Chicago Bears
  • On-field for the national anthem and fan tunnel experience
  • A catered, Thanksgiving dinner for 10 while watching the game from club-level seats
