Everyone has a favorite neighborhood coffee shop, hair salon or auto mechanic—local businesses are one reason why it’s so great to live in Michigan. And there will hopefully be more and more of them: Michigan was recently named an especially friendly state for launching a small business in a nationwide survey of business owners. On top of that, 70 small businesses in Michigan were just awarded micro-grants to help their companies grow and flourish. Supporting small businesses is something Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan does every day.
